DMCA Copyright Policy

Effective date: September 25, 2026

LiliDog Nation respects intellectual-property rights and responds to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

This process is specifically for copyright infringement claims. Privacy, harassment, safety, trademark, and other community disputes should be submitted through the appropriate reporting or contact system.

1. Designated DMCA Agent

The information displayed above is populated from LiliDog Nation's Legal & Compliance settings so the public policy displays the current designated-agent information.

Changing this information on LiliDog Nation does not update the separate Designated Agent registration maintained by the U.S. Copyright Office. LiliDog Nation administrators are responsible for keeping the website information and Copyright Office registration current and consistent.

2. Copyright Takedown Notice

If you are a copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of one and believe material available through LiliDog Nation infringes a copyright, send our Designated Agent a written notice containing:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by one notice, a representative list of those works.
3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing or the subject of infringing activity and information reasonably sufficient to permit LiliDog Nation to locate it. Specific URLs are strongly preferred.
4. Information reasonably sufficient to permit us to contact you, such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the allegedly infringed exclusive right.

Incomplete notices may delay our ability to act, and we may request additional information when appropriate.

Upon receiving a substantially compliant notice, LiliDog Nation may expeditiously remove or disable access to the identified material and take reasonable steps to notify the member responsible for the material.

3. Counter-Notification

If material you submitted was removed or disabled because of a copyright notice and you believe the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may submit a written counter-notification to our Designated Agent.

A counter-notification must contain:

1. Your physical or electronic signature.
2. Identification of the material that was removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal or disabling, preferably including its former URL.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your name, address, and telephone number.
5. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or, if your address is outside the United States, for a judicial district in which LiliDog Nation may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original infringement notice or that person's agent.

4. What Happens After a Counter-Notification

We may provide the person who submitted the original copyright notice with a copy of your counter-notification.

This means information contained in your counter-notification, including identifying and contact information required by law, may be disclosed to the original claimant.

Unless the original claimant notifies us that an action has been filed seeking a court order to restrain you from engaging in infringing activity relating to the material, LiliDog Nation may restore the material not less than 10 nor more than 14 business days after receiving a compliant counter-notification.

5. Misrepresentations

The DMCA provides consequences for knowingly making material misrepresentations regarding whether material or activity is infringing or whether material was removed or disabled through mistake or misidentification. See 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).

Consider obtaining independent legal advice if you are uncertain whether material infringes copyright or whether a DMCA notice or counter-notification is appropriate.

6. Repeat Infringers

LiliDog Nation maintains a policy providing for termination, in appropriate circumstances, of members who are repeat copyright infringers.

A normal community report alleging copyright infringement does not by itself establish an infringement.

LiliDog Nation may maintain administrative records of substantiated copyright matters and may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts when appropriate.

The ordinary community-strike system does not prevent LiliDog Nation from taking separate action under its copyright policy.

7. Standard Technical Measures

LiliDog Nation does not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect copyrighted works where those measures qualify under applicable law.

8. DMCA Notices Are Different From Community Reports

The DMCA process should not be used for:

• harassment complaints;
• privacy disputes;
• ordinary Terms violations;
• age or safety concerns;
• trademark disputes;
• disagreements about another member's opinions;
• other non-copyright disputes.

Use the site's normal reporting tools for those matters.

Likewise, selecting "copyright" in an ordinary community report does not necessarily constitute a legally sufficient DMCA takedown notice.

9. Administrative Handling

Copyright notices and counter-notifications may be retained as reasonably necessary to:

• administer the claim;
• document actions taken;
• comply with legal obligations;
• administer the repeat-infringer policy;
• resolve disputes; and
• protect the rights of LiliDog Nation, its members, copyright owners, and other affected parties.

Access to copyright-case records should be restricted to authorized personnel.

10. Questions

General copyright questions may be submitted through LiliDog Nation's business/contact system.

Formal DMCA notices and counter-notifications should be sent to the Designated Agent using the contact information listed above.
